Mount Meru Hotel is situated in Arusha. It is a 1960's built 7 story building and has nearly 200 rooms. On one side, the rooms overlook the pool and a golf course, and on the other side, there is a view of Mount Meru itself. The hotel has reasonably "international" standards and facilities including telephones and cable TV in every room. It is about 45 minutes drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and will usually provide a collection/delivery service for residents. The public shuttle bus service to Nairobi starts and terminates at this hotel. There are meeting and convention rooms available and there is entertainment provided most evenings in the bar and on weekends in the restaurant.
